Books

At RightVIEWS, our motto is Complex, made clear.

In this endeavour, books are critical tools for reaching our audience. We believe complex subjects can be simplified to a certain extent. We cover different subjects and give insightful research backed by authenticated sources.

We follow an easy-to-understand ebook-style format with many pictures and easy-to-understand text. This style is inspired by Slidedocs, created by Nancy Duarte.

We have made the following books free to download. (Please click the button to download).

How Cities Rise

This book presents a hypothesis explaining WHY urbanisation happens, the stages of urbanisation and HOW it happens. It highlights ideas from Ronald Coase, O.E. Williamson, etc. It posits that there are transaction costs to set up the firm itself, and those costs are higher in rural areas than in urban areas. It highlights the relevance of Elin Ostrom's ideas on commons as critical. It also talks about Urban Commons as different from Commons. It says that Jane Jacob's communities were, in fact, urban commons.
