Why are people still dying of COVID in the US?

It seems every week in Dec 2023, 1500+ people are still dying of COVID in the US. That is strange.

ABC News has an article titled Why are 1,500 Americans still dying from COVID every week? This has me worried, particularly this chart for 2023.

The Article says…

According to the article, the principal causes seem to be “not enough people accessing treatments or getting vaccinated, as well as waning immunity.” Others, like the ageing population and newer strains of the COVID-19 virus, vaccine fatigue, etc., are also cited.

COVID response is not scientific.

Whatever you may say about what was done during the pandemic, the COVID response was not scientific.

1. Governments suppressed critical data about the nature of virus, the speed of spreading, etc.

2. It was NOT because of scientific testing limitations - either of time or knowledge. Instead of truth, the government and medical practitioners lied about many things.

3. NO, the lies were not well-intentioned. Initially, yes, there were apprehensions, but by September 2020, some other reasons drove the decision process.

4. It is not rocket science to experimentally find out whether masks work or not.

5. The vaccines are decidedly shady. If they were put to the same test as other vaccines, they would fail miserably.

6. Again, the vaccines did not fail because of lack of time. There seems to be a good case that bad vaccines were allowed because immunity was granted to vaccine makers.

Science and scientific mindset are under threat

Science does not care about politics or emotions. It hits us hard with reality. If scientists and science practitioners behave like politicians we will not have the progress we had.

It is time real scientists come out with real facts.
