Can you tell me about Hinduism? That question hides many questions. Do you have millions of Gods? Is Hinduism scientific? Do you have a caste system? How does Hinduism compare with other religions? How do yoga and meditation fit into Hinduism?

When people ask me such questions, I wonder how to answer without overwhelming them. I want people to know that Hinduism is unique. No other religion will say what the preceding quote says - accept the truth even from a child and reject untruth even if it comes from the Creator.

Hinduism is like a massive library with a diversity of philosophies, breadth of ideas, depth of its scientific foundations, experimentation, tolerance, and nonjudgmental acceptance of traditions. It is challenging for newcomers and practitioners alike.

Many seeking to understand Hinduism are exposed to only one facet and thus do not get the entire picture. Imagine the disappointment of a person interested in murder mysteries who is only shown in the romance section of the library. Most of the time, those asking do not want an in-depth analysis of the fundamental concepts of Hinduism. What they want is a bird’s eye view of Hinduism. This ebook aims to do just that. It is just a tourist map of a vast library as big as a city, showing the locations of the prominent landmarks.

The first edition has 1.8K downloads on Twitter Link. It was shared in WhatsApp groups in Europe, the US, Canada, and India. It was also printed and distributed in some Indian schools.

I have incorporated the feedback for the first edition, reorganised the topics, added new ones, and included some hypotheses that will help clarify the essence of Hinduism. I will be adding and updating this book. Email me with ideas, diagrams, collaboration ideas, praises or brickbats.
